Not only was this a simple plug and play (hooked up legacy Slingbox Classic & Direct TV DVR), it also worked with my Netgear X102 plug and allowed another connection at another room. This SlingLink was bought to replace my Netgear X102 plugs which stopped working and now I know that one is broke and the other is still working and will work with the SlingLink.How to test your speed, but I do not know, everything seems to be working well..
